Borealis
A poem to the night where we wandered
By KatheleenPublished 10 months ago • Updated 4 months ago • 1 min read
photo by Katheleen on the night where we wandered
Under a colored sky
And the moon
I fall back in love with you.
The outline of your face against the darkness.
The sound of your voice against the cold air.
I see the couples around us
And I envy them,
That they have what we lost.
Bare branches reach upwards from the trees
Begging the sky to bring its life back,
Its color;
Holding on to a memory
Of what was and wanting it again.
We wander.
And I'm searching for
Meaning in your glances at me,
In the touches from your skin to mine,
With the stars reminding me
That even when things end
They can still be seen.
