Sometimes, I wish to fly high above,

Soar high above the lonesome madness

I’d sail the oceans of endless love,

My heart aflutter with timeless gladness

.

I’d sing a song with harmony, perfect,

I’d dance the stages of empathy, grand

Man is weak and bound for disasters,

Our Mother weeps for her native lands

.

Sometimes, I wish to see far beyond,

Where oceans are sky and skies are seas

Far beyond our lonesome detention,

Oceans of potions to cure disease

.

The sweet dawn light creeps in the distance,

Blackbird has spoken, the days are long

Lean on me, I’ll show no resistance,

As dusk sings softly, her evening song …

.
