I want to make you feel good

But I will not stroke your

Ego

for you anymore

You know what they say

You never really appreciate

what a good woman is

until she slips away

from your fingertips

And you already know

you’ll never feel a love like mine again

You know what I hold inside is too much for you to grasp

and I’ve swallowed a thousand ways

to tell you

I love you

and I’ve tasted the

Bittersweet Sensation

of you

turning away from me

and when I finally take that step back

from the space I’ve held for you

You will reach in my direction

You will feel the void

You will fold your hand

You will hang your head

And you will taste the

Bittersweet Sensation

as you watch me

turn on my heel

and disappear into the sunset

never to return

to the pit of your palm again
