Before and After

Lines of black and white, that's how the world felt,

Each day a carbon copy, predictable and stale.

My heart, a dusty melody box, long since wound down,

The notes trapped, yearning for a gentle hand.

Then you, a burst of color, a sunrise explosion,

Painting the world in hues I never dared to dream.

Laughter, a symphony that filled every corner,

Waking the melodies within, a joyful, swirling stream.

Before, smiles were rare guests, hesitant and shy,

Now, they bloom like wildflowers, reaching for the sky.

My steps, once heavy with the weight of solitude,

Now lighter, dancing to a rhythm only you can guide.

The world, once a canvas of muted tones,

Now vibrates with a kaleidoscope of emotions.

You, the missing brushstroke, the burst of vibrant light,

Transforming black and white into a love story, forever bright.
