Beauty in Chaos

Beauty, defined as a fusion of qualities that captivate our aesthetic senses, particularly sight,

Many perceive beauty in the bright facets of the world, like sunshine and rainbows, so bright.

But if you inquire of me, I discover beauty in life's chaotic flight.

The hurricanes that sweep across my state,

Transformers blowing in storms, electrifying, I cannot underestimate.

The rain pouring down with fury, merging with gusts of wind that hinder sight,

The very sense most rely upon to perceive life's beauty, to find delight.

Sounds of leaves rustling in the wind, soaked with the rain that brings me joy.

I find beauty in the aftermath of the tempestuous storm,

Devastating as it may be, it unites communities, a unique form.

Debris strewn on streets, once backyards for children's play,

In the midst of destruction, I sense a flicker of joy, come what may.

When all is demolished, there emerges the chance to rebuild, to refocus,

That very refocus sheds light on fresh ideas, new life, it's a locus.

In chaos and destruction, there lies beauty's core,

Pure, unfiltered beauty, a sight to adore.
