"If you can't be a pencil to write someone's happiness
then try to be the eraser to remove their sadness"
We all try to 'keep that stiff upper lip!'
But it is not easy!
If we're finding it difficult,
so is that person standing next to us,
in the bus queue,
waiting for the same train.
Or --- even one of our closest friends or loved one.
We would do
anything
we could to try to "cheer them up" wouldn't we.
We can't always 'write'
a happy note into someone's day
but we can try to 'remove' the pain,
let him or her know
that we are there and ready to help
in any way we can.
Don't forget to try to do this for yourself.
When you are feeling sad,
try to cheer yourself up,
with a happy thought,
doing something that you know
will make you feel better
(including eating a little chocolate).
It does really work!
