Blossom

She cannot come into her own,

not in yours, or even her own timing.

but when the concrete breaks under her feet & she appears...

... they'll talk about it for years, and years.

Will he see her as more than a weed in driveway cracks?

Will he see her as a sunflower hellbent on chasing the sun?

Will he put her in a vase, on a shelf - tell her she's the one?

or will he plant her in a garden?

Will he make sure she has water - build her an Eden?

Will he let her blossom?

and whatever bed she makes

will she let herself blossom?
