The Banana Bread in Question

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

A typical 21st century scene... (?)

He's ready to eat some Banana Bread,

Waiting till an hour at 350* it's been.

*

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

(Peanut butter was added, for flavor and crunch)

Did he follow the recipe? In over his head,

This baking bach'lor is yearning to munch.

*

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

He'd bought six bananas, but all soon went brown;

Foregoing the trash, he surmised instead,

"These still can make something that's worth chowing down!"

*

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

He scrounged up the ingredients, tools, and will,

to make dreams come true (of Banana Bread)

And mixed up a dough - feeling a swelling thrill!

*

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

Whilst waiting till dough completed it's bake,

A poem, he'd write, till the hour had fled!

And have two homemade works, to share and partake.

*

A Bachelor Baking Banana Bread!

Even while trying to think up the next rhyme,

BEEP BEEP went the oven - "oh shoot," he said,

For done was the alotted banana-bread-baking time.

*

The Bachelor had Baked some Banana Bread!

Oh wonder of wonders, and joy of all joys,

It tasted half-decent - a proud step he'd just tread!

For he'd baked something that he could share and enjoy.

Not many bachelors bake banana bread, wonder of wonders, it was edible. Now I feel like baking some banana bread, This really does sound like a song. Is it not funny the ideas we have to write about. Funny and tasty treat.

Adorable and fun loving poem, Gabriel. Baking tip from a former baker: roast the bananas in their skins for 15 - 20 minutes and when you add them to the batter squeeze them out like toothpaste from a tube. You might need to bake the bread a little longer, but that simple step will move the bread from good to the best you have ever eaten. If you like crunch, consider adding roughly chopped walnuts as well.

Ok, this is so fun, creative, and clever!!! I loved this. What a great way to wait for banana bread to bake. Also, the addition of peanut butter sounds mouth-wateringly delicious!! Enjoy your baked goods!! 💕
