Believe It Or Not

He was walking the path

of the awakening

& I always loved

to show the spiritually curious

the sun rise

He doubted my power

That's fine

I’m used to it

That's always

what gives me an edge

For people like me

staying cloaked

in the night's shadows is safer

He said he was open to believe

anything in this crazy messed up world

So I asked him some questions first

I was careful because I know better

than to say too much

When you hold sacred knowledge

the sleeping always doubt what's valid

I told him as much as I gauged

he could handle

and even then I guess

it was too much

Because he told me

he kept his doubts

So I shrugged

and said,

"Okay."

A month after we last met

We had a phone conversation

He had gone to a retreat

A tantra awakening

With a world renowned guru

of the Buddhist Kadampa tradition

I asked him of his experience

He was "overwhelmed"

He said he "didn't want to say too much"

He said he was "afraid to misspeak"

because he "knows so little"

and he now realized

I'm "spiritually advanced"

fact or fiction
