At Twenty-Four....
"What do you do? "
At twenty-four, carrying disappointments and defects,
Worrying why I'm not deemed sufficient.
With tear-filled eyes, I questioned my mother.
Her eyes held absolute beauty.
In them, I glimpsed a baby nestled in a secure bubble,
Innocent and smiling at life.
If I can't meet the world's demands,
I'll eternally exist as her child,
Fulfilling her heart.
And I know what I must do....
