Pass the hours

By The SonPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Replace me with an alien,

They will do better than me,

You may only notice the difference when they begin to achieve,

When they scale heights I fear I am too weak to reach.

***

Replace me with an alien,

They may be better at this,

Better than me,

And if you may not replace me with an alien,

Replace me with anything else,

They have more on offer than me.

***

Wake me up,

Call me back,

On top of the world,

Let me see you there,

See me there,

A version who has conquered Everest,

Let demise follow with some knowledge a version of me saw success.

***

Replace me with an alien,

So they can do the day-to-day hours I find myself weak against,

Goliath was met at the hands of the clock,

At the patterns of survival,

At the painful happenings of Mondays.

***

I've run out of distractions,

I've run out of hiding places,

It's now or never once in a lifetime offer,

Replace me with an alien,

Let them finish my race.

This was so relatable. I always wish I would get possessed by a ghost so that it can run my life. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
