April Twilight
The Serenity We Experience with the First Springtime Twilight
The sky above turns a deeper blue
And stars in the heavens begin to bloom.
Wolves and coyotes begin to croon
Up to the silver-crescent moon.
Silken clouds steeped in sunset light
Glow copper, rose, and gold at night.
Violet tints the indigo sky.
As geese, through a star-filled ocean fly.
A pillow of blossoms, as my bed
From yonder tree’s rosy-white head.
A wind whispers through, kissing the lost sun
So she knows, time for bed, the day is done.
This is not, however, quite true for spring
For her sweet song has just begun to ring.

Cezanne I love the vivid imagery you were able to create with you descriptive language. All the while still holding a beautiful and thoughtful rhyme scheme. I also loved the way you personified nature in this and really took this poem to the next level! Breath taking and inspiring! Nice work Cezanne! 😊
I adore this line, “ A wind whispers through, kissing the lost sun.” Well done!
