Open Your Eyes
“Another Day”
Desecration of ones being,
To realize life’s beauty,
They simply aren’t seeing,
Blood pouring like torrential rain,
To change, when awakened,
Depression sets in; still the same,
Pictures numbers and material items
Can fade but never the memories in your head
The only thing no one can take away from you
They are with you until your obituary is read
No more corners or roads to take,
Lost and drifting; all a void,
To many choices and decisions to make,
To give up is ones easy way out,
As for death it’s peaceful but solemn,
And right now life I simply won’t do without…
