“Betrayal”

Someone shreds your beating heart apart,

They simply stop loving you,

Before you’re even given the chance to truly start,

Dark swirls within; taking control,

The endless sadness reaches the deepest parts of my soul,

It becomes hard to breathe I can feel it in my bones,

I’ve loved you so much; I cannot let you go,

We cannot depart, not this way,

We need more time, more memories, more us,

I am at a loss; you’re pulling us apart,

One thing left to do is to keep a reminder,

One that will beat for only me,

For all eternity…..Your bloody, beating heart…
