Hello everyone!

Today is very special for me. I am delighted to announce that the first volume of The Auroras & Blossoms Haiku Anthology is finally here!

This anthology of haiku (and senryu) comes as a result of the most successful submission call Auroras & Blossoms has ever experienced in its four years of existence. Over 260 talented poets from around the world sent David Ellis and I almost 1,500 haiku!

Yes, you read it right! I am sure you can imagine how challenging the selection process must have been.

That is the reason why, when we saw how many excellent haiku we would have to reject, we decided that one volume would not be enough. And in fact, we settled on three volumes, each of which contains about 90 haiku!

The Auroras & Blossoms Haiku Anthology is a delightful showcase of superbly crafted poetry that will move and inspire you at the same time. What also sets it apart from many other poetry collections is the fact that it is family-friendly. So, you can read and enjoy it with kids of all ages.

As a writer and reader of haiku for many years, it has been an honor for me to select and edit the poems that appear in this book. Whether it was written in the traditional way or not, each haiku and senryu in this volume is a piece of magic that will stay with me for a long time.

Thank you to Sergio Coronel, Paula Frew, Precious Gauthier, Joelle A Godfrey, Tom Heath, Molly James, Stephanie Jane, Diane Meyer Lowman, Steven-Mark Maine, Isabella Mori, Kari Moss, Nichola Napora, Samantha Ortega, Felicia Prevo, Marjolein Rotsteeg, Pallavi Suri, Ellen Tandojo, Amanda Weir-Gertzog, Jamie Wimberly, Julia Yong LaFrance, and Jade Young for making this volume extraordinary!
