I'm a shadow bending

Into a whisper

Look through the rain

You'll see me shimmer

A lost paper heart

Echoing through the fire,

Burning higher & higher

With immense desire.

I'm like speeding car

I have no brakes,

or a broken mirror

Full of mistakes,

Maybe I'm a phoenix

Waiting to be reborn,

Or an old sweater

That's rugged & worn.

I'm chasing the stars

Like the astronauts,

Floating in space

Just like my thoughts,

I'm completely mad

Just like the hatter,

Filling oceans with tears

That no longer matter.

I'm a free spirit

Living to thrive,

Building my dreams,

Until they come alive.

With the confidence of a god

I'm calculating my worth,

As a lost satellite

Orbiting earth?
