a walk

missing memories

minds flashing memories

once what was there

undone

pictures falling off the wall

glass upon floor

the empty seat across from me

lost comfort at the ocean wall

walking through memory lane

alone

if you could just be next to me

like the old days

i'd have your comfort

your kiss

looking into your eyes by the ocean side

just to have you next to me again

even for one last day

we could do all these things together

again

the memories are jabbing my heart

as I do this walk alone

like a knife just sharpened

overall strained

here without is not the same

so near I ache

want you to come back

one last walk

wishing the clock could turn back time

can't accept you are no longer here.
