A tree for the Earth Mother

Sowing Hope

By Andrea AnzalonePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

I wrote a letter to the Earth

A seed for Her to keep

And timely did roots come to birth

Reaching bravely down into the deep

A sprout grew upward to the sky

Fueled by blazing, mighty Sun

And bounty thusly graced my eye

Through patience had fair greening begun

I blessed my offering to the ground

With waters of everlasting life

And blessings then return abound

Fruit of Sun's lush Earthly wife

Give freely to Earth your gift of seed

Your wishes, love and care

And She in time will sate your need

For shelter, nourishment, beauty and air
