You are the architect of your life

Que Sera, Sera

By Andrea AnzalonePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

What the future may hold

Lay in present thought, to be told

With arms to hold

Hands to create

Arms, thoughts, Intent to mediate

The Flow

Accept the powers of old

Ancient responsibility to behold

All of creation, as infinite towers of gold

With newfound eyes

Unwavering smile

Pierce the lies

Truths are masked in denial

Embedded by a culture steeped in strife

Restrictions, yet more obstacles in life

Until after a while

The deceit is a drug

Which numbs the pain of perpetual deviation

From your Soul purpose, and self actualization

Until all you do is lug

That box you put your dreams inside

And all the while

You pull, and strive

You're adding mile after mile

Until all that keeps you feeling alive

Is forever beside

Locked up so tight

And you've thrown away the key!

Though you may try with all your might

You'll never be FREE

Until you shed the illusion

Picture-perfect

The story you didn't write

HIS-story

The ever-present intrusion

On any life you might elect

Any dream you try and kindle to light

Lost to Misery-

And you're lugging this box

Adding rock after rock

Is it too heavy to bear now?

Are you finally aware how

The box gets lighter

When you stop adding rocks

Your world gets brighter

When you pick the locks

And you manifest your dreams

Instead of foolishly thinking

They won't burst the seams

On that box you've been drinking

Them into
