A Summer's Day to Remember

S8

By James GreenPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Come what may.

A bird flies away.

Summertime after Springtime. Flowering, what may?

Water shining, tinkling. Flames the shape, waving.

A boat set sailing, with people swimming hailing.

Smaller by the distance. More people arrive, persistence.

A smell in the East. Pleasant. A whiff for one and all. Delicious.

Not a word, just a sound from wet people gathering around.

Humming, groaning, panting, a picture made a painting.

Skin sizzling in the heat. BBQ, fresh meat.

A Summers day for some. Some sleep. Some rum.

Wet bodies now dry; the sun set high.

A day in August to remember? Maybe? Sunflower.
