Sunny Interval

R8

By James GreenPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

The wind in the clouds, rain falls, and people are loud.

Running for cover, shrieks of delight; former frown.

In the sky, a glint of sunshine from on high, people, gazing, brightness in their eyes.

Walking into the street, wetness beneath their feet.

A stamp in a puddle, others continue to run; no more time for laughter; a day of work starts for some.

Trotting in line, damp surroundings, no more running, no more fun.

The time is now clock time, serious, time for none.

The day continues forward until the day has run out.

What is a day without work? A face without a pout.
