A Single Human Soul

Have you heard this song?

The end of the aurora over Troy Montana

All humanity an ocean and have you heard this song?

Can you recognize a tune that changes every time

because everyone who has breathed has breathed

a tune like this and felt the flow in some part?

Or maybe this is an ocean as a human soul, a

single

human

soul

Do you believe in such a thing? A single human soul?

Maybe not, and maybe it is all one, but I can't seem

to shake the thought that even that is over-simplified.

The day you grasp it, you are God; you will never be god.

You see, we cannot explain or define, like trying to

explain a field filled with fireflies using 20 in a jar;

We can only hope to describe the edges, to travel them

with fingertips of something beyond our fingers.

You want to know the start, you want to see the end;

you wish to draw the line for “infinite” and contain

whatever could create a world this complex within

the understanding of your spec on this timeline.

Be quiet; be content; be as you are where you are.
