She sat alone reading in bed as usual,
He was walking the halls,
As he passed her room she glanced up and smiled,
The smell of blood kept him moving,
He soon returned to find out what her illness was,
As time passed he grew fond of her,
She enjoyed the company,
Their friendship grew,
One day he asked if she wanted to be well again,
She got quiet and sad so he left,
Weeks passed and she had become worse,
He returned as she lied there dying,
He leaned in for what she thought was a kiss,
Pain like she had never felt took her over,
He had bit her,
Later that night she awoke feeling fine,
He had saved her
