A New Kind of Love

A Love Poem

"Rhapsody" by Leonid Afremov

I shall not love you 'til death do us part;

I'll love you past forever, without end.

To you, I give my all, my heart;

I cherish you as Lover and as Friend.

I shall not say, for you, my love is blind;

You are a sight from angels, heaven-sent

Your smile makes me melt, and I do find

Each second spent with you is time well-spent.

I shall not say our love will conquer all;

This world cannot be fixed by love alone.

But know I’ll be there with you through it all;

I’ll always help you, hold you, guide you home.

I can't express my love through old clichés

Because you grant me life anew each day.
