A monster came and swallowed the sun

I let them in for fun

By HufflecupPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

A monster came and swallowed the sun

I lit a candle and welcomed the beast inside

I am desperate to make peace

washing bloody paws

and swooning at a fanged smile

mistaking wrath for passion

a cold heart for resilient calm

some devils hope to be redeemed

they need only a chance at love

they are tired of anguished screams echoing back at them

maybe misery can harmonize

one lost heart

needs a replacement

a second chance written in blood

maybe I deserve no peace

In my last moment
