I saw you sitting there
You were reading
The evening sun made you glow
But your face was all scrunched up
The palpable sense of frustration
radiating off of you
It made me pause and think
I asked what was wrong
You turned to me and said,
Don’t talk to me, I’m reading
And I knew I loved you deeply
