A Hypocrite Yells At Clouds

It is the most unabashedly selfish act to wait until judgement day

In a vain attempt to shield the perceived unpleasantness of things you wish not say

Harsh but think it through

You know I speak true

Why must we admit only at the pulpit

Our loves, respects, ills, and inane bullshit?

Forgo your selfish fears, phony

Do it now like Arnie

I love you

I hate you

I respect you

I loathe you

Let them slap you

Spit at you

Hug you

Kiss you

Whatever fear you have

I can promise you that

Facing a reddened face is better

Than one dark, cold, and gray

So let us proclaim

That which we refrain

Embrace mediation

Embrace celebration

A hollow hypocrite is me

Proclaiming my own shortcomings with glee

Now my face is red

And empty is my head

So like Bilbo I say

I’m tired now, good day!

Yeah soapbox time. I suck at saying what's on my mind, or expressing my emotions in general. I think it's why I gravitate toward writing. There is calm in the gentle order of words on proverbial paper. The psychologist I should probably have (let's be honest, we all should) would have a field day with that...Anywho, I've also felt a little...lacking when it comes to inspiration. So, I said fuck it and wrote this stream of conscious mess of half baked rhymes and imagery, presented without edits, revision, any form of quality control; all things that make my skin crawl...because what's better than letting out our unedited, unchecked thoughts?
