A Diamond Emblem
A poem for Queen Elizabeth II
Set a royal path to follow as heir of Kings and Queens
Never forgetting the good that royalty can do for its country
Never forgetting the power of one word and thought
Never forgetting the strength of arms that a monarch brings
Wisdom leading the charge.. nothing seems impossible
Remembering where she came from and whom
Reminding her people where they came from and by whom
Placing in their heart the royal emblem, which comes from duty
And the love of country and putting this above all
She did not waver on the beaten path and walk among her equals
Loving life and holding dear friendships as the key to happiness
Whenever she was needed, she was there and affectionate
Guiding her nation with a strong hand and helping other nations
Setting free by the will of her might and making known her heart
Letting justice guide her nation and releasing those meant to be free
And for all these years consistently like the diamond with grace
She so graciously come to every table and in perfect remembrance
She brings order to every occasion and is seen as the diamond emblem
Reciprocating the times like a lioness in power.. she did not waver
Showing the humbleness of having a family.. she shared her secrets
It is her era, a era of hope and tranquility... a era of certain glory
That her country deserves and need.. and that the world sees.
