In a tiny land beneath our feet,
Lives a creature quite petite.
With six legs and a funny stance,
Let me tell you about the ant's dance!
They scurry around, in single file,
Carrying crumbs with a determined smile.
Building anthills, their architectural feat,
A mini metropolis, ever so neat.
With antennae waving, they communicate,
Sending signals, a social debate.
"Hey, there's food!" they seem to say,
As they march in line, day by day.
But beware the picnic, oh, dear friend,
For ants will surely attend.
They'll invade your sandwich, without a care,
Stealing your goodies, leaving you in despair.
Yet, they're diligent workers, no doubt,
Lifting loads, that seem to sprout.
Ten times their weight, they can bear,
A true superhero, I must declare.
And when it rains, they're in a hurry,
Gathering their troops in a scurry.
But some brave ants float on a leaf,
An accidental voyage, beyond belief!
So let's give a cheer for the ant brigade,
Tiny creatures with a funny charade.
They may be small, but oh so strong,
And their industrious spirit, we'll sing along!
