The Storm of Hatred

2020 has been one big storm,

The cell that just grew and grew until it engulfed the earth.

It was then that the rain started,

and it was relentless.

The rain was scary and uncalled for,

changing how many went about

the many things they did in their lives.

But drop by drop it washed away the masks.

The Facade the people wore in day to day life.

True colors bled from the lives of the fake.

Revealing the true evil they were made of.

The realest form of themselves they buried deep beneath the surface.

The ugliness spread like wildfire,

Burning bridges and destroying lives.

People no longer saw eye to eye,

Hatred, an unjustified swinging ax;

Hacked fiercely away at the ropes of civility.

Creating fear and unrest in the masses,

An illness awoke, and not just a virus;

But a darkness that swallowed the light.

Many found it hard to light their path;

Lost and trying to figure out what now is "right."

When will they learn the light that is love,

The light that will disperse the dark?

2020 isn't just a year, but a battlefield.

But what will the World become when the war is won?
