This was supposed to be our year
So many big plans and parties planned.
Yet things started on a rough note.
And went downhill from there.
So many negative things
Fires in Australia in January
Fires in California this Summer and Fall
Corona. Quarantine. Masks.
Murder hornets.
Zoom meetings.
Schools and non essential businesses shut down.
Religious organizations shut down.
Peaceful protests. And not so peaceful ones.
Racism. Hate. Everyone taking sides.
Hateful comments from every side.
Hurricanes. Double hurricanes. Twin hurricanes?
Paulette the zombie hurricanes.
Election year.
Opinions flying.
Emotions high.
Relationships shaking.
We'll make it through.
May not be pretty.
But we will.
After all, we are survivors.
