10 Popular Baby Girl names
One thing I have had interest in for a while now is the meaning of names, whether it be for characters for whatever story I was working on, or for naming my own kids when the time came. There are just so many options out there, and so many websites and books to sift through, and it can get very overwhelming very quickly. So upon some research, I came across an article through the Good Housekeeping website that compiled several different lists. So I pulled together the meanings of some of the names I liked (and there were so many!) and wanted to share them with others as a good starting place for others.

Dear 2021 New Year
Dear 2021 New Year, The year 2020, tried it’s hardest to get the best of us. In some cases, it did. Devastating fires in Australia and parts of the U.S. A global pandemic shut down the world and took many lives. Murder hornets, impeachment of the president, elections, Harvey Weinstein was convicted in his sex offender trial, stock market crash, BLM protests for things that have yet to be resolved, Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested for her role in the Epsteien sex ring, just to name a few.

Pirate Days
Kids are very curious by nature. With some kids, it is very obvious, as it can be hard to get them to slow down long enough to see the real world. They can’t help but to engage and explore the world around them. For others its harder to see the curiosity, as even the calmest of personalities can feel mysterious on occasion. It’s harder to see with them because it can be easy to forget they are there, as they are often so still and easily get overlooked. They spend so much of their time in the books, and yet, even if they are not going very far physically, their imaginations take them on the most amazing adventures instead. The adventures can sometimes be so magnificent and amazing. They can get so lost in amazement and curiosity that their dreams sometimes just bust through the seams and they find themselves dragging the nearest playmates along with them, into their fantasy worlds. It often seems that the perfect combination, would be to have at least one of each in a play group, as to encompass the best of both versions of curiosity and engagement into each adventure. A classic example of the book-ish type of adventurer, was a young girl named Sarah.

From the Heart
My great-grandparents were the epitome of hard work and dedication. My great-grandfather (Papa) was a perfect example of what was considered a family man, and he and my great grandmother grew up in small town USA. They grew up in a farming community and working odd jobs to make ends meet. They married young, but due to some health issues, they were “older” by the standards of the time, before they had my grandmother. When my grandmother was growing up, he would do odd jobs (ranging from truck driver to farming to working at a feed/seed shop). Details are fuzzy, but I recall being told that my great grandmother (Granny) would work over night at a factory, get home in time to get my grandmother off to school, my great grandfather off to work and would sleep while everyone else was at work/school. She would get up from her nap in time to start the process of dinner, run errands, etc. They learned early on to work hard for everything they needed and wanted in life, and to make sure their family had everything they could want and need within reason.

Enchanted
In her room, Sarai pulled a book of her bookshelf, hoping to drown out the thoughts of what was to come. As much as she wanted to, she knew there was no way she was going to be able to escape the arrangement that her parents had made for her. The book she had pulled was a party planning one. She had hoped to have more say in what went on and all, but it didn’t look like Mrs. Watson and Danielle were going to let her. Michelle tried to get them to give her more say, but to no development. Sarai sighed to herself. “Oh well,” she thought. She knew this whole arranged marriage idea was an old fashioned one. Her parents knew it was too, but they thought it was one worth reinstating in the modern world. They frequently reminded her that in some cultures it was still common practice. No amount of arguing had been able to convince them that some practices should not be resurrected in the society they live in now.
