As is known to all, McDonald's has opened many branches all over the world.

Many branches have their own features, including this "World's smallest McDonald's" in Sweden:

Although this McDonald's is small, it has everything inside.

Not only does it have a drive-thru window, but it also has tables and chairs:

But why is it that no one wants to eat in such a beautifully built little McDonald's?

Because the audience of this little McDonald's is not us humans, but industrious bees.

Bees are an important part of the nature. Many crops need them for pollination.

But a study has found that honeybee populations around the world are declining, but many people don't know it.

To raise awareness of bees, a Swedish McDonald's has volunteered to set up hives on its patio to provide a habitat for the bees.

The idea has also been accepted by McDonald's, the headquarters in Sweden to build a "special bee" McDonald's restaurant, and named "McHive".

However, rather than "restaurant", "beehive" is more suitable.

Open the roof of a McDonald's restaurant to reveal a large hive where bees can breed and continue to work (beware) :

In addition to building a restaurant for the bees, McDonald's Sweden has adapted a roadside billboard in time for World Bee Day to feature its LOGO in the shape of a beehive.

In addition, McDonald's has drilled holes into roadside wooden billboards to create a safe hive for bees.

McDonald's Sweden calls the holes "beehivehotels" and has allowed every McDonald's in Sweden to construct hotel bees using billboards.

With these efforts, the number of honeybees in hotels can be increased, hopefully reversing the impact of urbanization on honeybees.

The beekeeping scheme is currently only available in a select number of Swedish McDonald's, and it is not yet known if it will be rolled out to all of Sweden, or even the rest of the world.

But anyway, it's always a good start.

In fact, McDonald's this "Honeycomb project" has been around for 19 years.

However, recently I was popularised by a Weibo blogger called "cold knowledge bot", and the popularity has been revived:

Some brands can make use of their influence to do some good deeds, which can not only contribute to the society, but also improve their brand goodwill.

Some of you are going to ask:

The smallest McDonald's is in Sweden, but what about the biggest?

So far I haven't been able to find the largest McDonald's, but I did find the smallest KFC.

On a street corner in Portland, where the world's smallest KFC pop-up is located:

The restaurant, which is about the height of an adult's calf and too small for one person, has a fully equipped kitchen and even a chef at the back of the restaurant.

And unlike McDonald's: the kitchenware is real and can actually make delicious fried chicken!

When you order fried chicken, coat small chicken breasts in fried chicken powder:

This super mini fried chicken oven can really fry:

To put the seasoning on the mashed potatoes:

One more coke and the combo is ready.

The meal includes two pieces of crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sandwich cookies, chocolate chip cookies and Dr. Pepper, a carbonated drink popular in the United States.

Best of all, this package is free to the customer.

But it's not easy to get your hands on it. You have to wait in line, and you have to stomach down.

Because the store is so small, you can only see one hand when you lie down, and the set meal is delivered to you.

And the people who eat this set meal are painted like this, I don't know whether they can taste it:

The biggest KFC has yet to be decided, but KFC has recently released a 7-inch egg tart. If you have the means, you can try it...

I have to say, used to McDonald's and KFC's usual look, suddenly a mini version, this kind of contrast is quite interesting.

Even Coca-Cola has done something similar.

To coincide with the arrival of mini Coke in Germany, Ogilvy Berlin has won widespread acclaim for a very simple strategy: the Coca-Cola MINI kiosk.

MINI kiosk is one third of the size of normal kiosk, making people feel as if they suddenly entered the world of dwarfs, cute feeling.

Sparrow is small, complete, kiosk not only has a full-time salesman, MINI vending machines, and magazines, newspapers, food and so on.

It's small, but it's noticeable.

Some restaurants become smaller for environmental protection, some for publicity, no matter for what purpose, occasionally change their own "image", in fact, is not bad.

So what other examples of restaurants that have gone "small" do you know?
