My Willow & My Life
Moving away from my family home didn't seem like it would be much of an adjustment; not so much that I would be missing all the conveniences that come with having an established home. What came as a surprise to me was when I started to realize exactly who it was that I was missing. The golden retriever we named Willow.

The Animal Reiki Scoop
The following story inspired me to extend my Reiki training and become an Animal Reiki practitioner. The story highlights how Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® Method nurtures the agency and autonomy of the “neighborhood cat,” particularly in the heart of the 6th Pillar. From the Perspective of a Chihuahua (Life Lessons)
Meet Princess, my eight year old bundle of joy. 💕 🐾Princess, my 8 year old chihuahua 🐾 A few years ago, I was taking her for her morning walk. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The birds were chirping a beautiful melody, the sunshine was beaming down upon me, and the slightest breeze made for the perfect temperature. Other than the sounds of nature, all was quiet in the neighborhood.

The Dog I Didn't Want
When I was almost 13, I finally found the puppy I didn't want. I actually refused to go meet her because my mom told me that she was a Golden Retriever/Border Collie - and I was not the child who loved Golden Retrievers. My sibling did. I thought they were happy, go-lucky, stupid dogs that lick way too much. I mean, of course I loved Buddy and all of those movies, but I had no interest in owning a dog like that.

Osiris and Hooman: A Berner's Rescue
June 8th, 2021: I was born. I was given the name “yellow collar boy” at the time. As a little Osiris, I spent most of my time playing with my litter mates, sleeping, eating and repeating. I was not prepared for what would happen next but as a dog, I tend to live in the moment!

Walking Ms. Julia
WALKING Ms. JULIA And they called it puppy love I watched Ms. Julia from my living room window taking her afternoon walk. Rain or shine, umbrella or not you could always count on Ms. Julia taking her walk. But lately, my neighbors including myself, noticed that she had stopped speaking, or even waving, to us as she continued on her way. Ms. Julia plodded on with head and shoulders drooping and her eyes steadfastly watching the slits in the sidewalk that divided the gray concrete squares. Every day she had noticeably and progressively begun to walk like a preoccupied zombie.
