humanity
Isn't it ironic that the very best of humanity is seen through the love and empathy we show to our pets?
Spiders Are Only Good For One Thing
People are weird. I’ve said it a number of times and with each passing day, I’m becoming more and more convinced of it. Have you heard the latest? A woman in Australia has rescued a spider and called it Charlotte. Yes, you read that right, she RESCUED a SPIDER!!!
Conny ManeroPublished 4 years ago in PetlifePets Raise Your Love Quotient
Move over I.Q. Make room for L.Q measured by how much you love “pets” and by how much they love you. Since I can remember, I have been surrounded by animal companions. I refer to “pets” as this, and call us the “owned”, not the Owners.
Princess Comes Home — The Conclusion
After speaking with the neighbor of Billy and Sally Stevens, it seemed as though I didn’t really have a lot to go on. But at least I had a starting place.

Dog was hightailing it in the direction of the subdivision and all I could do was hightail it after her. I jumped out of the car and began to run after her.

So I’m carrying on a conversation with a dog. Big deal. Don’t tell me you animal lovers out there don’t talk to your fur babies or fur grand babies. It’s perfectly natural for animals to have running dialogues with their Humans. How else are we going to communicate with them, use semaphore?

My name is Henry James and I’m a writer. I’ve seen some really wonderful things. Like that old steam locomotive 82 at Twin Bridges and Bob Chaplain, the man who saved the town.

Today, I had the opportunity to visit a stockyard. I was given a choice to be there, and bear witness to animals that weren't given the same choice. As I sat in a warm car, traveling to the stockyard, I thought about what it would feel like to be one of the many animals I would soon encounter. What it would feel like to be in a moving vehicle, not knowing where I was going or what would happen when I got there. Hearing people talking, not knowing what they were saying; but the way they were talking, didn't feel nice.

Pets: The Best Parenting Tutor
Parenting is the next best word to create havoc in someone’s life after the word marriage! As beautiful as the joy of being a parent is, it is equally challenging to raise a child both emotionally and mentally. We see our parents as an example and often benchmark ourselves too high to match with our parent’s level. All that a parenting book can do is to guide you. How much of it can you successfully execute is really unknown. But there is a helping hand to raise your kids with good morals. Raising your child with a pet can help them imbibe those basic yet most entailed virtues which might seem impossible to do otherwise.
Esha SinhaPublished 4 years ago in PetlifeGrieving a Pet Can Be a Slow, Painful Process
Before I had become a pet owner, I was clueless about taking care of one let alone losing one. Sure, I've been in the presence of family members who had experienced the death of their pet. However, I just couldn't relate to it nor grasp it because I didn't have to handle it nor cope with it. I would offer my condolences, but I didn't understand just how emotional the loss could be. I still made an effort to engage in conversations about it.

This is a baby pig on a transport truck, about to be unloaded at a slaughterhouse. She may look like an adult, but she's just six months old. She's been fattened up and selectively bred to grown as fast as possible, so that she yields as much flesh as possible when she's slaughtered.
Jamie RobinsonPublished 4 years ago in PetlifeSeymour the Carpet Snake.
Once there was a slippery snake known by the name of Seymour the carpet python. He was a lovely shade of green as green, in color. Seymour's usual habitat was the overgrown backyard of a family known as the Townsend's. They lived on a quarter acre block of land, which was joined to a native reserve at the end of their street. Therefore, it was very easy for Seymour the green as green , carpet snake to move around the backyard of the Townsend's. Seymour the snake slithered and slithered around the backyard, the family were used to meeting him on their lawn and their lunch and dinner guests were used to seeing him as well. At times, he was like a streak of green as green hightailing it across the backyard, as if he were being by some rather large predator who was going to eat him for dinner.
