cat
It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
Feral Cats, Cat or Creature!
When I say stray cat, your mind probably wonders to the perhaps the cat you feed on the back deck or the cat you pass by on the street every day on your way to work, but when I say feral cat your mind probably thinks of a mangy looking creature that is the posterchild for being a crazed monster cat. But again this is your mind playing tricks on you. Even demons come in the cutest wrappers.

My Cat Loved Me—But I Didn't Know It at the Time
It seems like growing up all we see in the movies are kids with their dogs. Of course, as a little girl with an older sister who just didn't want to be bothered, I wanted a best friend that I could play outside with and go on adventures with. I wanted that magical connection that the movies show.

Patience
I didn't know you could be depressed as a 9-year-old. I lost my grandmother when I was six, and she was the only person keeping our family together. Without her, the seams came undone. Everyone shut down, became bitter, became hateful. It also didn't help that my 4th grade teacher told me I would never amount to anything. How can you tell a 9-year-old girl, who's just not the best at math, that she'll never amount to anything?

The Little Kitten That Could (Part 3)
In my many years of having a cat in my family home, you'd think I would be used to the idea that cats by nature will get out and explore. It's in their nature. No matter how hard we try to keep our little fur babies indoors, they do eventually get out and if it is the first time, it is quite possibly the scariest.

The Little Kitten That Could (Part 2)
Fast forward to almost a month after having Baby Loki; it's my dad's birthday and my brother and I have freed up some time to fly out to Nevada to see him and spend a couple days out there. (I personally love these trips because the expensive and intense life of living in Southern California with my anxiety gets old and I just love that for a week or two I don't have to worry about work or think about college.)

Oliver
Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the feature that Snapchat has where it allows you to view photos taken on this day last year or all the years before. It is a great way to look back and reflect. Usually I laugh at my memories, today I had a faint pang of sorrow as I looked at the photos I took with my cat the day I knew he was too sick and that I would have to take him in to be put down.

The Little Kitten That Could (Part 1) . Top Story - August 2018.
Rewind to mid-May, 2018. I'm on a mild walk to get my heart going and to keep my anxiety down. The sun is bright as it reflects off the car hoods that sit idly waiting for the light to change from red to green, allowing them to cross a very busy intersection. I'm standing in the middle island, waiting for my red hand to turn into a white walkman when my phone starts to ring from my pocket.

My First Kitten Love
A few months ago I moved in with my boyfriend, Nate, his family and his roommate who had just recently moved in as well as a impulse decision in spite of my dad's wishes. Shortly after moving, I slowly started to realize why he didn't want me to move in with my boyfriend so soon. We had only been together for four short months prior to me moving in. After living with each other for just a month we started getting on each other's nerves. With us going to the same school for the same career and neither of us having a job, we were together 24/7 and you could tell we were on each other's last nerve. We would always argue over dumb stuff, like who was suppose to do our laundry or who was going to make dinner. then, after two months of job searching for us both, he finally got a call back. The next week he started working at the Dollar General down the road from our house, walking distance, which was perfect because we didn't have a car... still don't.
