What Is Considered a "Large Dog Breed?"
Dogs are man's best friend, and from the day that partnership first came to be, we've been breeding dogs for tasks of every kind. Selective breeding has made dog breeds of just about every size, and breeders often will categorize dogs by the size they become by the time they reach adulthood.

Clare ScanlanPublished 7 years ago in PetlifeDog Breeds for Families with Allergies
Allergies can make a good dog a bad choice for your family, and that's a sad fact of life. The fact is that many would-be dog owners often believe that having a puppy is out of reach for them, just because they have allergies to pet dander.
Rowan MarleyPublished 7 years ago in PetlifeCow Sharks
Little is known about the mysterious cow shark as it spends most of its life in secret living in the deepest, coldest, darkest parts of the ocean well below the depth most divers reach. Some species, however, do come up to shallow water to give birth and to feed at certain times of the year.

My name is Kayla, I'm a service dog handler. My service dog is Clyde and he's my "pawtner in crime." I have noticed that a lot of people are skeptical when it comes to handlers like myself because we don't look disabled so in this article, we are going to discuss invisible disabilities and why you shouldn't tell someone that they don't look disabled.
Kayla PowellPublished 7 years ago in PetlifeOmar's Diary
Thank you for your time and allowing me to introduce myself to you. My name is "Omar." As you can see from my portrait, I am a feline of quality breeding, Tonkinese in fact, who has been used to the good things in life, lost them, and is slowly recovering them. Life has not always been kind to me. Before I settled into my current home I was, as George Orwell said about Paris, "down and out." I was not in Paris but in Bournemouth where I was rescued from my homeless plight by a voluntary organisation. They gave me refuge for a few days and then settled me into the place that I now call "home" here on the edge of The New Forest. I share my home with one other feline and two members of the servant species.

Fostering dogs is an emotional rollercoaster. When I was 16, my family got a dog. My wife has wanted a dog since she was a little girl, but it had never happened for her. There were a variety of reasons, but it was mainly due to the bane of everyone's life: work.
Andrew BeasleyPublished 7 years ago in PetlifeAnimal Care: Iguanas
When you hear the name iguana, you probably think of these large, green lizards crawling around the Miami, Florida area. As true as that is, there is much more to these beautiful creatures, with them making fantastic pets. Sure, they aren't cuddly like dogs and cats, nor are they very social, but they are very interesting, and make for great conversation starters. When people tend to ask "What kind of pets do you have?" and you answer that you have an iguana, that alone may raise a few eyebrows and cause a few questions asked. So, what goes into caring for these long lizards?

Rowan MarleyPublished 7 years ago in Petlife Bird's Nests
Birds build nests to lay their eggs in, to protect their young from predators and to keep themselves warm in winter. There are many different types of bird nests which are categorised by their type or style. This is based on where they are built, the characteristics of the nest and the materials that have been used to build the nests. Nests come in many different styles ranging from nests built on the ground or in trees to mud chambers or woven nests.
Clare ScanlanPublished 7 years ago in PetlifeWorst Dog Breeds for Families
I'm a firm believer that dogs are truly the best friends that humans can have. However, not all dogs are the same — and some are definitely not a good match for families with small children, cats, or owners who aren't really adept at training animals.
Riley Raul ReesePublished 7 years ago in PetlifeHe Can't Hear You
I never know what to expect when I receive a text saying "We have a new family member." Growing up this could mean I could come home to anything. Kittens, puppies, horses, pygmy goats, a grumpy old donkey, rocks with faces painted on them, chickens, a step-sibling or two...I mean anything.
