Vocal 2024 Resolution
I started writing officially on Vocal In October of 2023, I was reintroduced to it by someone I met on another app. She suggest it and at first I had questioned If I really had something to offer to this platform. Once I've seen the community and how tightly knit everyone becomes just off people's creative energy was such an impact on me I had to at least dip my feet in. So it has shaped me in a way where I had the confidence to put out one of the deepest desires as a creative person. I really love expressing things in a deep way so this was a chance of a lifetime really. I was determined to create such engaging content and a lovely community of people that really challenged me to become the best transformed writer I could become.

Hi Vocal !
I joined Vocal in July 2020. That's when I knew I would soon be retiring and would have extra time. Writing was something I really enjoyed in high school and in college. It was just on the backburner for me while my life took twists and turns. I wish that I had done more journaling in hindsight, but I took mental snapshots of memories along the way. Most of my writing reflects those snapshots. I suppose you could call the 93 stories I see that I have published here, my photo album.

On survival
On survival. The question of existence still haunts me in the silence of the stillness that loneliness brings with it. To be or not to be, to exist in the coexistence of dualistic forces, to dance with the uncertainty or to play it along the periphery, what I hold certain, has always questioned me, bemoaned me. Truth be told, I beheld the cry for help when its absence called in silent whispers around the blanket of dwelling and absconded its abundant presence over me. There is a painting that traces the bits of serenity in my life, the colors that adorn the hues of the almighty run deep through the veins of my soul to find the brevity of pain. I glance at the picture of Lord Krishna, reminiscing the days that passed by. Darkness sets its sterility in the brimming light of today, as the dawn of today paints itself in the colours of the dusk of yesterday.

My current list of all my published novels
Ever since I started my writing path with Vocal, I found that organizing and keeping track of my many types of poetry, novels and short stories was a huge awakening to me. I am, by nature, a highly disorganized person. Vocal was truly my first milestone in keeping track of my writing in a way that felt more professional and personal. As I grew in my craft, I decided to use many of the stories I started on Vocal to be put on the table to be published traditionally. This venture served up quite a quandary as I found that many of these so-called publishers were vanity presses or hybrid.
