The Last Slice I was never the person who took the last of something for myself, even if it was there for everyone. If a friend needed a favor, no matter how inconvenient it made my life, I was there. If someone mentioned they "had to do (anything)" and sounded upset about it, I jumped in to do it for them. When something needed to be done at work and nobody else wanted to do it, I'd volunteer no matter how much I had on my plate.

Finding a new Dream
I always thought I’d be a ballerina until that dream died. But one snowy winter’s day, that dream was taken from me. I was driving home from visiting my parents when a terrible snow storm came out of no where. The wind was ferocious. It pushed so hard against my car that I ended up sliding off the road. The car flipped and my left arm was basically pinched off at the elbow. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks where surgeons were miraculously able to save it by cutting my lat. muscle and tissues from my back and placing it all into my arm. I was told I’d be lucky if I’d ever be able to hold a hair brush with that hand.

Can best emonstrate the value of time from our lives. Someone who has understanding of the value of time intends not to waste it or not to respect it. Spending time includes postponing work that is supposed to be done within a particular period or not doing anything despite having time in hand. Many people waste time at different points in their lives. Some people do not do the work given to them until they are close to the deadline; students often do not study even when they have time in their hands, thinking they will be able to complete everything when their examinations start. All of these are an example of people who do not understand the value of time.
