Genderless
My whole life I’ve just thought some clothes were for boys and some clothes were just for girls. Until high school started and I started to see more and more people dress however they want. Such as on the internet, in school, on the streets, etc. and the more I saw it the more I loved it. I want people to see now that this is the 21st Century and you should be able to dress and look however you want and everyone should just accept it. It's more than just an angry opinion this thought could change the world if you let it.

Having It All Together
Do you often hear people comment when asked how they are doing that they are "working on it" or " getting it together"? WHY is this a constant when we are supposed to be getting our lives together early on so we can be smooth sailing? The problem is that we are all lying to each other. We tell ourselves a false reality when we are young that if we just follow these specific steps, that life will fall in place. We will find sexy love, be brilliant bosses, and make enough money to comfortably fit our families of three, one dog, two cats, and a Billy Goat ( If you live down South). Here is some advice for young people to slap some reality into this unfortunate lie that we are told by others.

Routine
Every morning I have my alarm set for 5 AM. I wake up and have two pints of water before doing a 20-minute stretch routine followed by a breakfast of two eggs, scrambled, crispy kale, avocado, and toast. I'm then showered and out the house for a 7:05 train to work. Once my half-hour journey is over, I head to my favourite coffee shop for a black Americano and a read of my current book.

Focusing When You Have to but Can't. Top Story - August 2018.
Sitting down to create something—whether that is a story, an illustration, or an assignment for work, even holding onto that pencil, or hands raised above the keyboard—you still can't create. And maybe you have to create due to a deadline.

Rituals
I don't know about you, but when I used to hear the word “Ritual” I always envisioned something like an altar with a bunch of candles or some sort of sacrificial offering taking place. Thankfully, however, I could not have been more wrong about this! Maybe in the olden days rituals were tied to religious beliefs, but now a ritual is basically just something we do habitually that provides us comfort.

Meditating in the Shower
If you’re anything like me, you’ve read self-help books, and you know the tools you need to adopt a better lifestyle. If you’re anything like me, you also always fail to integrate these tools into your life for longer than a week or two. If you’re into bettering yourself but also have a short attention span and appreciate quick gratification, this is meant for you.

Be Present
The pendulum swings... There comes a moment when we break free of the past and the future and declare ourselves as "present." That moment comes as we bemoan the past and its torment, release our wishes and pinings, and begin to recognise what "now" has to offer if we connect with it fully. That moment comes as we embrace the totality of who we are and fully feel the emotion of who we believe ourselves to be. That moment comes as we recognise that the thoughts and feelings we think we are having are simply stories we tell ourselves about ourselves in order to comfort our own fears and help those fears stay alive. That moment comes as we learn to accept who we really are and love that person no matter how we feel about it. That moment comes with every breath and every experience, every love and every loss, every ache and every joy, every grief and every exaltation, every profanity and every prayer. That moment is this moment, and it is happening right now.

On Your Own
It's been an extremely long and hard day. I woke up at four o' clock this afternoon. It rained all day and I guess that that didn't help my mood at all either. I am currently having a good amount of financial trouble and as hard as I am trying, I just can't seem to get any progression. One good thing that did happen in between all this madness was that I got into the university in my city and am finally going to school for writing.

Lessons Learned From Small Things
Dear Vocal Readers, Oh fears, we all know how crazy some of our greatest fears are or have been. You would be surprised to see just how much your fears have changed over the years, though. I know that there are things I used to be afraid of when I was a child, and things that have crept up later in life. Whether you only hated clowns as a kid or still have that lingering fear, I'm sure there have been changes to what scares you.

No More Excuses
This is not a post that will promise success. It simply will help you understand that the reasons you say, “I can’t because,” are nothing more than an excuse. Do not let an excuse stand between you and your goal or dream. Educate yourself and run with your idea. I have given advice and helped many people launch their idea—not all were successful; however, they at least gave it an honest effort and tried. They were able to get past the “I can’t” and started doing what they dreamed. I am a firm believer that passion and effort will take you anywhere you want to be. That being said, let’s dive in and look at the biggest “excuses” for not chasing your dream.

"I've Been So Busy"
"Hey! Oh my gosh, I haven't seen you in so long! How have you been?" "Ah, I've been good. I've been SO busy." Raise of hands, how many of us have had this conversation at least five times this week? Me. I know I have and continue to, week after week after week.
