Sad But Still Hopeful

How Losing A Job Make Me Felt

By Gbolahan WritesPublished 2 years ago • 3 min read

Today, I lost my writing job and I felt really sad about it because I never expected something like that to happen to me not even during the whole issue going around in our world of today. No jobs, people are going haywire and doing what they believe to be good in their own opinions, but the question is did I feel bad about losing my source of income in this moment? Yes and is there a way to resolve the sad issue? I don't even know, but still hopeful in God.

I believe that in every situation either good or bad there is a light at the end of the tunnel so far, I haven't given up, and still hopeful then I am going to smile at the end of the day.

Are you also like me or your case is a bit different from my own, I want to let you know you are not alone, although I haven't found any solution to mine (that is no job yet), I still believe that giving up on my self is not how to solve the issue. Why give up when you still have life there is a popular saying that when there is life there is hope, which is very true.

As I was writing this article, I did a bit of research on Google to look out for great people with the same issue, who later turned their situations around by not giving up and I saw the likes of Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, J.K. Rowling and many more like that. I continued with my research to check great quotes about failure (because being sacked at times look like someone is a failure) and i saw that champions do fail at times but they actually made up their minds not to give up and rise again.

Denis Waitley said, “Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” Also, the same J.K Rowling I mentioned above also dropped a decent quote on how to transform from being a failure to a successful person. He said, "Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I've met people who don't want to try for fear of failing.”

The pain of today (either the pain of losing your most cherished job, the pain of losing your precious child, the pain of heartbreak, and others) is not forever. The same way I drag myself up to write this piece this moment with what I am passing through is the same way I want you to stand and fight everything that is hindering your happiness and causing your sadness.

Talk to God, he will heal you. The healing process is not easy, but the moment you desire a change you start seeing the change in your life and everything related to you. Remember Job in the Bible, he lost everything and still didn't lose his hope in God. He got healed on the latter day and got everything back in multiple folds, yours won't be different. Is it that heartbreak? move on you will find a suitable partner that won't leave you.

Is it that after praying for that job, you were offered, but in the long run you were sacked for a simple mistake? move on because there is a better offer waiting for you.

I am pouring my heart to you and I hope you will be able to relate, share this to friends and families.
