How reading helped change and better my life.

I notice the changes in my own life. Reading is something that I always feel in control over, and as a person that always feels out of control in her own life, this has been a great change.

Reading has also been a perfect way to escape from a harsh reality, both because of my physical health and mental health. It helps put things into new perspectives. Helps you learn things you never thought you would not be able to before. Even if I am surrounded by people who do not read, they agree that it could be a great way to push energy towards. To keep them occupied in a healthier way mind-wise.

As a person who can not work out due to an injury as well, reading was the perfect substitute for what I used to spend all my energy on. Having excess energy is exhausting in its own way. I find that reading relaxes the mind, expands the mind, and keeps normal fretting down.

And due to social media, reading has become far more popular among younger kids and youth. Which is amazing. Having more children interested in books other than video games is a step in the right direction for future generations. It also helps enlighten them on different kinds of mental health problems which is, unfortunately, also becoming more and more normal.

Reading can save lives in several ways:

1. Health Education: Reading books, articles, and other materials related to health can educate people about health risks, diseases, and how to prevent them. This knowledge can help people make informed decisions about their health and well-being, leading to a healthier lifestyle and reduced risk of illness.

2. Emergency Preparedness: Reading emergency preparedness guides and manuals can help people prepare for natural disasters, accidents, and other emergencies. This knowledge can help people take appropriate actions to save their lives and the lives of others during emergencies.

3. Mental Health: Reading books and other materials related to mental health can help people understand mental health issues and seek appropriate treatment. This can lead to early detection and treatment of mental health problems, reducing the risk of suicide and other harmful behaviors.

4. Literacy: Improving literacy rates through reading can help people access essential information about health and safety. This can empower people to take control of their health and safety, reducing the risk of accidents and illnesses.

Overall, reading can provide people with valuable knowledge and skills that can help them make informed decisions and take appropriate actions to protect their health and safety.

There are several reasons why reading is getting increasingly popular with younger generations:

1. Access to Technology: With the rise of technology, young people have easy access to digital books, e-books, and audiobooks. This has made reading more convenient and accessible to them.

2. Social Media: Social media platforms have created a culture of sharing and recommending books. Young people are exposed to book recommendations from their peers and influencers, which has encouraged them to read more.

3. Diverse Representation: There is now more diversity in the types of books being published for young people. This has made reading more accessible and relatable for young people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

4. Mental Health Awareness: There is now more awareness about the benefits of reading for mental health. Young people are turning to books as a way to escape stress and anxiety and improve their mental health.

5. Education: Schools and educators are promoting reading as a way to improve literacy and critical thinking skills. This has encouraged young people to read more and has made reading a more popular pastime.

Overall, reading has become more popular with younger generations due to the accessibility, diversity, and awareness surrounding the benefits of reading.
