Pull out a notebook, or open a new document just write. Either way we all have inspiration.

Remember in Language Arts when our teachers would let us freestyle to just write but encouraged us to make a brainstorming bubble. Well this is my definition of the brainstorming bubble. For me as an author, all my life I tried to figure out what works for me.

This is my writing process, and brainstorming way of thinking.

What we had to deal with in school the van diagram on how to brainstorm.

I never understood this to by honest how this is a way to brainstorm. Then again I have a completely different way I would inspire my students. I would encourage to pull out an inspiring notebook, a favourite pen and just write for inspiration. No nonsense of van diagrams, but you are using your creative side of your brain not the logical side.

Sometimes you have to get lost in writing to be found again if that makes sense.

As an author, blogger, publisher, and most importantly a woman I learned that you must have listen to both sides of the brain. You can say Monday through Friday from 7am until 4pm your business aspect. Then on weekends preferably write either your blog, or the manuscript you keep procrastinating to write.

And I am.

You know how you just pass your final exams towards the end of the school year? Then you think its all over, but the next semester is towards autumn? Then you start the endless cycle all over again.

As an author when you finally get that project done that sigh of relief like oh my god what do I do next. Oh we know that feeling especially for us bloggers creating content. Well that's the feeling we should always have. Enjoying ourselves when writing.

This is the typical writing process for most writers.

I will go through my process in steps:

1: Writing Notes: I start with creating the basic my notes figuring out where to begin. I write what's called the brainstorming process. Almost all of my projects are inspired by just my imagination.

2: The Character Profiles: I would have to say this is my favourite part trying to figure out, picture.

Disclaimer: I've had to write notes, and stuff because after I had a few emotional traumas in my life my memory isn't the same. So rather then flip through my manuscript constantly I just decided I would make this apart of my process.

3: The 3 Act Story Structure: After learning this from my favourite YouTuber Abbie Emmons this structure has literally saved me. It helps me outline my novel several times. I even had to make my own version for my genre specifically.

She is so awesome she breaks everything down for anyone who doesn't know what this story structure is. For anyone who is an author I would strongly suggest to listen to her. She really knows her stuff.

4: Step Away for this one: If you don't step away from this part it will freak you out to no end. Prepping for the first draft is very daunting at least for me. Even though it's just the rough draft.

5: Starting the Rough Draft: After stepping away making a cup of coffee read though your notes and just take a chance. Never hesitate turn off all social medias unless it's YouTube to listen to your playlist. And just get started. I do Immersive Writing sprints with Abbie Emmons. It helps me so much. And I do my own writing sprints too.

Make yourself comfy and get started.

6: After the Rough Draft is completed: I usually walk away from my manuscript for just two days read through it. See if I like what I see, I don't then I change them by adding in suggestions to myself. Okay here it goes my process of revising used to be print out the whole manuscript read it over then if I don't like a scene or see gaps in the storyline I add stuff or switch it around. My revising stage is so confusing I am starting to think I need a different method of doing this.

7: Something I used to hate but now I have grown to love: The rewriting of my manuscript. I used to hate this so much even in school. But now I have a different of looking at this the character I've created I have more time with them.

8: Sending my manuscript to my Editor: My editor Mariam Naeem is a great editor very brutal. But she wants her clients to be the best author they can be. I've been told Emily you must work hard to learn the different between present and past tense. That's my biggest issues. Other then that when it comes to my editor she says I'm growing as an author something she is proud to see.

9: Creating the Blurb and finding a cover designer: My favourite part is creating the novel blurb after the project is completed. That's the best feeling in the world. And I absolutely love JV Arts they are the best book cover designers.

Something I wish I had and one day will have a desktop and desk.

I can't strain how important it is to remember as authors, and bloggers we must love what we write. It makes it easier to promote, and when publishing it it seems like you are working so hard to promote it you are lacking to remember the audience. But that's for my next entry.

Lastly, please remember it would be nice to have a tip and pledge from the article everyone. As writers we could be happy to just have a small something to put in our wallets or purses.
