Life , why do we spend our every waking and sleeping moment stressing about the things for which one day will not matter .

We chase the perfect grades , perfect colleges, grad school , careers , spouses . We want those things , high income careers , just the best of the best . You work continuously not only physically exhausting your body but most importantly your mental state of mind . We live in a society , much rather say a world where success is measured by the amount of materialistic things one can amass in their short life time. Average life expectancy is 70, but we all know death sees no age . It’s inevitable, at the end of the day would these materials truly satisfy you and allow you to reach your self-actualization? This is a serious question we must ask ourselves . We follow trends from magazines , social-media platforms and our peers always wanting the next greatest object . We’ve lost touch with what truly matters , something money cannot obtain . Love ; something every single living being yearns for but makes up for that emptiness by seeking all those things which truly do not matter . You may see these so called celebrities happy and having the time of their lives , but they aren’t happy . They married someone who would elevate their social status , you would not see a multimillionaire married to the grocery story clerk . Did that millionaire ever wonder if their true love , was someone below their concept of socially acceptable in their norm ? No . We are so consumed by these things we as a species have lost touch with reality , we are building skyscrapers next to people starving on the corners, we have become a greedy nation and lost touch with God and reality . The day will come when we will die and all these things we went after will be as worthless as the dust that covers our hearts . Murders , robberies , famine , poverty , war ;all these things set fourth in motion because of greed and humanity lost the meaning to follow your heart . We chase man made objects to be purchased by man made monetary material . Does that make since ? Find your happiness without having to own the biggest or best thing made in this world . Your happiness lies within , when you allow love to conquer you and you’re capable of receiving it you will feel complete, you will stop searching for things that truly do not matter . These celebrities you praise are nothing more than puppets to make you forget what life is about . Don’t follow their footsteps , turn that commercial off, look away from the mansion and the fast cars . Look deep inside , because what you hold is more valuable than any thing you can possibly buy on this earth . Let’s not forget we are here for a short time. Make it matter most- use what miraculous things were given to you from birth . Your eyesight , your limbs , your voice , your hearing and most importantly your Heart. Love yourself and spread that love , build a network with your heart . Not your college degree, your social standards based on ones status placed by society . We miss all the things in life that are far more valuable because we’ve been molded by society to believe otherwise and we choose the path less taken we are considered odd.
