To Stay or Play?
To achieve anything, you must first be tested. You must prove that you are committed to what you say you want. Regardless of what you desire, or the lengths you say you’ll go to achieve this, you will be torn down, frequently. It’s all about whether you decide to stand back up again.

AMIDST ALL THE MADNESS
A day I took away from the chaos of the online world! The world of social media, the news, the madness surrounding the current situation. Away from the personal space of so called my room. Away from everything that gave me the feel of any sort of personal space. I put my hoodie on, grab my headphones and play on some soothing music, with every beat of the acoustic playing in my ear, I take a step outside the house and walk aimlessly into the day.

Getting Back on a Horse
I just read a blog by a woman a little younger than I am, but middle-aged nonetheless, who wrote about the courage it took her to go back to school at her age and to follow her dreams. While I respect how challenging it was to her, it seemed sad to me that something so common place should take so much courage and that she would feel so much resistance in her path. I know that such obstacles exist, especially for many women, whose dreams get pushed aside for more important things, like raising a family.

An Ambivert's Guide to Isolation
"Hey, Megan," you're probably thinking. "what the hell is an Ambivert?" Well. An ambivert is someone who falls in the middle of an introvert and an extrovert. "Surely the two dynamics of introvert and extrovert are enough," I hear you cry, "people can only be one of two extremes!" I think most people would actually idenfity as an ambivert more if they knew about it. An ambivert's main idenfitying aspect is that they do enjoy being in a crowd or group of friends depending on the context but also have the limit of a social battery. It is the very definiton of the phrase "I came out to have a good time and I'm feeling so attacked right now." This isn't about the definition of an ambivert, though.

Why Every Writer Needs A Dog
A recent scientific study suggests that walking has therapeutic benefits that may even exceed those of running. Apparently the action of walking raises endorphin levels and this has a positive effect on the way we feel and our thought processes. For a long time I was a long distance runner over both marathon and ultra marathon distances. I was a lot younger then and eventually my knees sat me down and had a long chat. Basically, they explained, I could continue running if I insisted, but that they were simply not going to participate. To soften the blow, they suggested that they would be prepared to participate in as much walking as I wanted to do.

Leader of the Pack
Hello dolls, I’m put my inspirational hat back on😂. Thank you for letting me vent last week. This week’s post is about being a leader by knowing the difference between a LOSS & a LESSON. It is so important because you have the younger generation (your kids, nieces, nephews, & little cousins) looking up to you and the legacy you are going to leave behind. Show them that it is okay to fuck up but get up and do better, cause that’s what real BOSSES do!

Addicted.
We are addictive as humans, as we get addicted to humans just the same. I love the way people think and explain their perception of this life, of this world we all encounter. We all want loved and adored and cherished. We react within emotion and whether we receive what we want. We fear abandonment and even isolate, once we face the reality of being alone. There’s a comfort in knowing you can live with your love and only your love.
