I'm Glad You Are Still Here
Dear Sara, I’m glad that I can head this letter with that term of endearment. In the years before I didn’t consider you, “dear”. In fact, my self-esteem was so low it had me wishing you were dead sometimes. We made it to Japan and we were living the dream but it wasn’t in a way that you or I could feel good about. Actually, it turned out to be more of a nightmare, wouldn’t you say? We hated our job and just struggled to get up every morning. Do you remember that? Well, 2020 was a step up in the start, since we got out of that situation. I bet you never imagined that we would be back in the states in just a few months after that, and in the middle of a pandemic no less! Well, I’m here now, and things aren’t as dismal as they could be. This new year of 2021 is starting off full of hope and potential, but we still never know what will happen. Keep these aspirations in mind and I think it will be easier to keep moving forward and to keep loving yourself, no matter what happens. That is the most important thing after all.

Just Live Your Life Like Your Story
There is nothing I dislike more than people going out of their way to brag about their "good deeds". I have a good reason for this discontentment though. Bare with me here. When I hear your story of how you bought a homeless person a sandwhich and gave them some money, or went out of your way to help a friend in need - my first thought will always be - why does this have to be so special?? From the bottom of my heart I truly mean it. Because in my opinion, which you don't have to care about, I believe that you should live EVERY DAY like you are entering a good deed writing challenge. EVERY DAY you should be acting from the kindness of your soul to help others feel better. Your life motto should be to always leave a place more positive than when you entered it. This can relate to work, roles you've done in your career, volunteering, or even something as common as the gas station. When you leave the room, are people smiling because you made them feel important? Did you go out of your way to acknowledge them? Make something better for them? Turn their day around with a smile, a wave, or even your positive attitude? I don't want to sit through and read your great, outstanding deeds because these should be commonalities. This challenge should be "what is something you do every day" and if that answer is "a good deed" then boom. You my friend are on the right path and journey to contentment. But if this above anecdote does not meet the criteria for the good deed challenge, then fine, I will share everything I did today as an example to my words above.

What To Do After The Toughest Year Of Your Life
I have always been a visual person. I have a very vivid imagination but there are areas I falter in. That is what drew me to art. Making something with my own set of hands has a whole new sense of accomplishment. One of the best forms of therapy I was given was making collages. I have been doing dream and vision boards since elementary school. On that note, after the toughest year of my life it is no surprise that I break out a classic form of therapy and enlightenment.

Dear, 2021
2020 was full of big ups and downs, but What was considered the worst year for many was actually my best year. For one, at the start of the year covid came and moved all classes online. As a college student this was very beneficial for me because now, I didn’t have to wake up early in the morning to travel to school. Now that I didn’t have to attend school, I had free time to invest into the things that I’m truly passionate about. At the time, I was getting into investing, e-commerce, and online advertising. Throughout 2020 I’ve developed my skills in these areas but in 2021 I look to sharpen those skills while improving my knowledge in different areas.

“I Am Proud to Be Maladjusted”
Let’s take it back, way back for some us, myself included, to 1963. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was giving a speech on civil rights and segregation. During that speech he used a term that I had not heard before, he said we need to be “Maladjusted”. Most folks are familiar with the term adjustment, it basically means to correct or straighten, or to make “normal”. Now maladjusted, wouldn’t that mean the opposite? In the context that Dr. King was using it that’s is exactly what it means, because in 1964 segregation was normal, discrimination was not only normal but an accepted practice and a way of life. He was saying in order for us to advance we had to make these things not “normal”. We had to move past our differences solely based on our color in order to obtain a better way of life for all.

2020- a retrospective
2020; a year that will go down in infamy... Not very often you get to live through a section in a history text book, aye? But that's not what I'm here to talk about, least not on such a global scale. 2020 was definately a years of highs and lows, for myself as well as many others. However, as we entre 2021- let's hope the sequal is better than the original- I felt the need to take a look back at 2020, and see how it was for me, and hopefully by doing so possibly help or entertain others who felt or experienced similar thing's.

A New Beginning
HELLO WORLD!!!!! SO this is something different for me. I am entering a different phase in my life where now I am becoming the old head…WOW… but with that comes certain obligations for the next generation, hence this little effort right here. Let me begin by saying I have been doing what you all are about to start reading and hearing and maybe one day seeing for a number of years, mainly to people within my circle, and that is motivating them to do and be more than they would have thought possible. Showing them how some of the decisions they are making are helping or hindering their personal development. Before you think it though, no I am not going to list out schools attended, courses taken and certifications earned because this is not a resume. I have heard countless times I should write a book or I am going to be a politician, and honestly all those things are still open options for me, but now my goal is to reach SOMEBODY and hopefully get someone to where they want to be. The inspiration for this came from an unlikely source, Facebook. A family member posted a blog and friend of mine made a video talking about stepping out of her comfort zone, so I thought to myself it’s my time. One of things I have learned over the years is what good is having knowledge if its not shared, so here goes….SOMETHING?!?

Proof the Law of Attraction Is Working?
Are you one of those people who needs proof all the time? Are you one of those Law of Attraction students who catches yourself saying things like I wonder how this is going to come to me? Or What do I need to figure out so I know what to do next in order to manifest what I desire?

Dear New Year,
Dear New Year, Stop putting me through the ringer every year to prove I have no boundaries when it comes to family. Stop dragging up the bodies I thought I had buried, or allowing me to continuously be hounded by debt collectors. Please, I beg you!
