Stop Trying to Be A Therapist
Unfortunately my sleep patterns have been off and as a result I’m awake when the sun starts peeking up. However, I do tend to do a lot of my deep processing during this time as everyone is usually asleep and I can find some quiet/alone space.

Happiness Depends On Us!
What is happiness? We need only to look in the dictionary if we are searching for a definition, which would tell us that happiness is pleasure and contentment, but it doesn't really give us the answer we are looking for, does it? We know full well it's an emotional state that brings us great joy, satisfaction, and delight, and we are desperate to be in such a state of emotion for an absolute maximum amount of time in our life, but it's more so what constitutes this happiness, and how we obtain it, that we want the answers to. We can find bursts of happiness and short term satisfaction okay, yet it's that yearn for overall fulfillment and life satisfaction that we seem to always be chasing. Many of us actually never end up finding it, and there's a reason behind that. That reason being, we continually look in all the wrong places, leading us to make all the wrong decisions, and executing all the wrong actions. Let's have a look at a couple of examples.

Change One Word, Change Your Mind
We’ve all heard the saying “I’m tired of this shit” and we’ve probably said it ourselves. In fact, that thought may be why you are reading this article today. About 5 years ago, I heard a coworker say it differently. He used “from” instead of using the traditional format: “I’m tired FROM this shit.” He was joking around with co-workers when I overheard him and I failed to ask him why he said it differently, but I’ve never forgotten that interesting quip and now I use it myself, when necessary. It is actually quite profound.

How I became a better person in a global pandemic
So, 2020. It was a rough one. Unpredictable, at best; utterly catastrophic, at worst. Zero people I have talked to were prepared for it, and quite a lot of them chalk it up to an unnecessary year that did not really shove them forward in life.

Declutter Despair
Let me be clear right from the beginning: I love my husband. I do. We've only been married three years but in that time I have discovered that there is a lot of truth in the saying "opposites attract". We are so different in so many ways. We follow different football teams, which makes for some interesting winter weekends when our teams are battling each other; we have diametrically opposite ways of dealing with drama in our lives, I can be a drama queen, he just says “get over it”; I am musical, he is not; I have hobbies, he does not. I don't need to go on. The difference that gives me the most grief though, the thing that will make me retreat to another room and refuse to discuss it, is that I am sentimental about my stuff: very sentimental. He is not. To him, if something hasn’t been used for three months, it has no business being in our house.
