Dreams can come true
What the hell was that? Kendall said as she sat up in the bed, she was sweating and her heart was beating like she had just ran a marathon. Steadying herself she swung her legs off the bed. That was a weird dream or was it a nightmare? When she caught her breath and slowed her heart rate, Kendall eased herself off the bed. Slowly standing she walked to the bathroom, looking into the mirror her hazel brown eyes stared back at her confused and unsure of what that dream or nightmare meant.

Just go with the flow
‘It is both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so deeply’ they say. And there it comes again the wave taking over all the stability I thought I’d finally caught up with the chaos. I guess you never really know when you’re about to take a plunge for the worst. I thought I was just going to be able to dive in head first in the vast ocean, but here comes the ripple effect. Except, low and behold, it’s a tsunami this time. A watery grave of emotions is rising to shore. I thought I’d finally get to the seaside, pick some seashells and bask in the morning sun, but here strikes a misfortune. That could have been avoided with a little reason and common sense. You’re swimming and swimming against the current now little pisces. Oh, little pisces, don’t be so overly dramatic, he just left you. You’ll recover and enjoy threading water again as the leaves fall and the years pass.

The Sisu Path
Leave your soul on the floor was the only thought Tori had as she released a roar from deep within her being, calling upon an inner strength and determination she wasn’t certain she’d ever felt before. The weight was bearing down upon her shoulders, knees and thighs shaking as she commanded herself to stand. Her cheeks quivered as sweat poured from her temples and beaded down her chest. She pushed her heels hard into the ground and continued to straighten her legs, finally reaching the top. She released the heavy barbell down to the black rubber floor, serenaded by the satisfying sound of steel plates clanking together in a victory cry.

Have you ever had an insanely crazy day, where nothing makes sense and you feel like you are in a movie? Exactly 6 months to the day, I had specifically that type of day. My name is Melanie. I'm an up-and-coming Comic. Today I gave the best performance of my life, and it was so much fun! Then when I got off the stage I was pulled aside by a talent scout. I have an appointment tomorrow to go over a one-year contract that I'm being offered in my dream city!!! I am literally both laughing and crying because I am overjoyed and so incredibly proud of myself!

Ian was raised primarily by his mother Dezaria Huntington. Dezaria was a young mom who had suffered sexual trauma in her past that resulted in her conceiving and giving birth to Irish twins. The eldest a mentally dysfunctional Boy she named Gabriel, born on January fourteenth. The second child a beautiful narcissistic baby girl, born October fourteenth whom she named Crystal.

I demonstrated for him my technique, landing squarely where I’d directed the baited hook to land and set the reel. Strange Desires
Water is engulfing you, filling your mouth and lungs! You were sitting at your desk, slouched over your journal, and pouring into it all the words that made you feel happiness. Exhausted, your body began to give in to the pull of sleep. Your head tipped forward, lowering your newfound necklace onto the page... Realization hit, and your head snapped up to pull the necklace back! It was too late. There was a blinding flash of light, and all around you water fell heavily, gushing into your bedroom. You scrambled up onto your desk, trampling the journal while trying to pull open your window, but it was stuck tight!

Flat Earth Reality
Look at Ken. He’s just sitting there at the bus stop like a chump. Dressed in his navy blue uniform with his tell-tale neon yellow jacket. He looks like he’s done with life. How many streets does he walk in a day? Look at those calves. Yeah. This job has definitely gotten the chub out of Ken. How many tickets does he give out, I wonder. Do angry soccer moms chase him down with their pack of spoiled brats and chihuahuas to demand he not issue them a parking ticket? Poor Ken. He’s just trying to make a living. Trying to get on with life like any of the rest of us.

A Calling
It was six a.m. and her alarm clock sounds, BEEP…BEEP…BEEP. Her hand plopped onto the off button as her eyes began to crease open. The sun was creeping through the window curtains hitting her face. It was that time of day again, time to begin her daily routine to get to work on time even though she would much rather hit snooze and sleep in past noon. She knows she could but her bills won’t let her. ‘Real’ life started for Natalia when she graduated from college when she was twenty-three years old. Working as a nurse is what she always wanted to do. She is now twenty-seven years old and has been working her dream job for the past four years. Despite getting the job she wanted from the get-go she feels an emptiness inside. This feeling started nearing the end of her first year at her shiny new grown-up job. For three years she has been going through the motions; wake up, shower, eat, work, eat, work, go home, eat, and go to sleep just to do it all again. Natalia begins to ask herself; “What am I doing to deserve this feeling of sadness and emptiness?” Weeks go by and no progress occurs. It is still the same old same old. One morning, seemingly no different than any other, on the way to her car she spots something tucked away behind a shrub that she walks past every day.

Theodore Schneider was not a very smart man. He didn't excel at business, sports, technology or anything that would make his life well off. Ted spent his entire life working to take care of himself and people that needed him. The luckiest day of his life was when he married Peggy May. No matter what job Theodore held, he did it happily and gave it his all everyday. Grocery stores, warehouses, factories, even loading snacks onto airplanes, no matter the job, Theodore did it.

Diary Entry: A toxic worplace
The beginning of a month is usually a time of planning and paying out strategies and goals for the rest of the months. Since the start of the pandemic, the work approach has shifted in many aspects including a shift to online meetings and events planning. While it has resulted to be difficult for some, be it the barrier to technological knowledge or in some extreme cases the refusal to bow down and adapt to this new era, in general, over the course of a few months, most of the people I work with have come on board with the idea and have continued their participation/contribution.
