How to pick yourself up and feel your best on your worst days .

You know those days where you simply have no motivation to leave your bed, but you have to, no matter how much you are dreading it you have stuff to get done? Well, you are not alone! I am going to give my tips on how to add things to your day to make the hardest days a little easier.

1. Accept how you feel. Sit in your emotions for a little while, try to understand why you are feeling this way. Identify the emotion and simply let yourself feel it. The less you try to suppress it the easier it will be to release it, so let it all out.

2. As much as letting the emotions flow will help, I am almost sure you will not be in the most positive mood directly after, so take care of yourself. Light your favourite candle, take a bath or shower, listen to your favourite song, meditate, make a tea, listen to your body and do whatever you feel you need. Allow yourself to enjoy the small things that can easily calm your mind and body

3. Push yourself. Give yourself a little push, set small goals. Your goal may simply be getting out of bed and seem like a heavy task some days but set it as a goal and progress forward from there. Remember, even small progress is progress, so these small steps will eventually make their way into a bigger accomplishment. You never know what could happen each day, but you will never find out if you don’t push yourself to live it to its fullest, what seems like your worst day ever could easily turn into your best if you remain open and do your best.

4. Be proud of yourself. You deserve to be happy for everything you’ve done, maybe you have not accomplished as much as you would have liked for the day but focus on what you did accomplish and celebrate because those tasks you did do will be much easier to do the next so you will be able to push yourself past that marking.

5. Relax. Take days to rest and do what you would like. Not every day has to be productive, you deserve rest as well. Take yourself out, treat yourself, and some days you can’t push yourself no matter how hard you try. And that’s okay, some days are made to do less. There is always tomorrow to grow.

6. Allow yourself to fall back. If you return to step one, which you likely will, simply repeat the above. Do not try to suppress emotions, it is okay to be emotional about something you thought you have gotten over, you will make it past this situation all you need is the time to. Place your energy into bettering yourself, recognize your boundaries and everything you desire out of life, yourself and other people and then make room for that within your life. Listen to what you truly want and desire, what your body truly wants, and what you actually need. Pay attention to all the signs your body presents to you, focus on what you are doing and who is around you when you are feeling and identifying an emotion. This will help you connect with yourself to find what is best for you and how you should move forward in a way that is most beneficial to you.

Be proud of yourself, even on the toughest days because you are doing your best and will move past it. You got this; I am proud of you!
