We always get inspired by all those famous entrepreneurs, athletes, actors, and others, and start asking ourselves how they got there? What is the secret formula of their success? Is it just luck or hard work and discipline?

Well, I can assure you of one thing, luck plays hardly any role in achieving success and greatness, they are just ordinary people like us, who decided to make some changes and make the best out of their lives.

Now everyone could achieve this if they just take a minute of reflection and rethink their actions, yet the majority don't do it for different reasons.

Here are some tips that helped me turn my life upside down and start seeing some results.

confront yourself:

Sometimes people seem to me like they're running on autopilot, I personally was running on autopilot, it's that feeling when you know you're making some bad decisions, ruining your life gradually, and going straight to the bottom, but you don't have the power to stop, confront yourself, and try to figure out what's going wrong and what are the changes you need to make, and honestly, I believe one of the things that could help you reach that moment is leaving the comfort zone, either deliberately or imposed on you due to some outer circumstance.

start adopting some good habits:

One thing I can be certain of is, change never happens instantly, it's like you're building a house step by step accumulating every day's work.

Adopting new habits has certainly improved my lifestyle, and you'll never know what's suits you the most unless you start trying different activities, for me, stretching every morning after waking up, reading every day, working out, journaling, and other things have affected me a lot, the important thing is to find what fits you and make you feel comfortable.

Find what you're passionate about:

Well, this can be a topic alone, but I'll try to summarize its main idea. To change your life and make an impact in the world, you need to find a specific activity that you'll be happy to do for the rest of your life, it's simple as that, something that will automatically generate you a decent profit without being too much concerned about it.

Stop distracting yourself:

Yes you heard it right, we often distract ourselves, waste our own time, and blame others for it, we all see around us those social media addicts who could spend hours scrolling down meaninglessly on different social platforms, and end up blaming them for ruining society, Instagram didn't force you to create an account and start following half-naked girls and muscular guys all day long, you took that decision, so hold the responsibility for it.

It's better to limit our daily social media usage or any other type of entertainment to the fewest possible unless we use it for something useful.

push away any bad influence:

We all have some childhood, school, or neighborhood friends who are funny, lighthearted, and always a pleasure to be around, but when you start looking at life from a different perspective, and realize you're not sharing the same goals and interests anymore, in fact, they could be affecting you negatively, so the best decision you have is getting away from them or just decreasing your time with them, without hurting their feelings or insulting them.

Try to have some impact:

I'm not saying that everyone should aim to become the next Elon Musk or something like that, but at least we all should try to add some value to the community and look to change at least one wrong thing in the world, by trying to bring new values either creatively or innovatively, success will definitely follow you, it's a proven fact.

Always keep some reminders around:

If you reached this part after applying the methods above, you're probably on the right path, congratulations, still, don't get so cocky about it and overpraise yourself, no matter how far you got, it's never enough, always keeps the idea that you can do better inside your mind, our abilities are not limited, and always shield yourself from those tricky procrastinating thoughts, they can manipulate the best of us, so it's always wise to keep reminding yourself from where you started and what will happen if you give up now. Everyone has a unique motivation, something that keeps him pushing forward, so it's better if you continue summoning those ideas once a while.
